Eco Fashion Week Australia 2017 (EFWA2017) has an amazing line-up featuring collections from over 44 designers (local, national and international), 2 unique curated fashion shows and performances by 3 talented local musicians.  This is part 4 in 5 part series introducing you to all the wonderful artists taking part in our event this year.

 

In addition to the designers listed below, there will be a Style It Green collection by EFWA2017 fashion stylist Dalija Vlahov where she will choose 5 audience members for a unique makeover that showcasing different ways the Little Black Dress can be styled and a live musical performance by Rob Walker (covered in our opening gala press release).

  • About - Nature is literally transformed as native grasses are harvested by hand; using a pair of secateurs, a hessian sack and our knowledge of the Curtin Springs landscape. Each type of grass and each seasons creates a different texture and feel in the paper they produce. Therefore, each and every production run makes a quality paper that is unique and individually made. Curtin Springs also experiments with blending and texture, using plants, flowers, clay and sand. The paper created is used in many ways including a line of unique jewellery.

Australia’s first international Eco Fashion Week,  in Perth 20-27th November, Finalized its incredible large number of line up with total of 44 Designers, 25 of Australian and Internationals from USA, Canada, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines, Spain, Turkey, Vietnam,  Malawi , Venezuela, UK, China and Luxembourg .

EFWA Place community , sustainability and education its core  while promoting locally, ethically produced fashion, Conservation, and Sustainability Education.

 

From its first announcement on 24th April  and  up until now less then 5  months ,  Eco Fashion Week Australia (EFWA)  was very busy receiving applications from International and National Designers who are well known international and national designers to  just emerging or student designers.

In addition to full shows  from total 44 Designers of Australian and International  EFWA placed  7  Australian Fashion Graduates  scholarship designer status and  Another 21 Australian and International Fashion Designers get together  with Marilyn Wilson created UpCycling Show Case  by only use of  male dress shirt.

 

African Designers from Malawi joining EFWA week with a Showcase curated by Patti De Sante 

 

 ‘’.  This incredible result only shows strong growing demand for Sustainable, locally made , ethical fashion, time to stop sweat shops and  fast fashion forever.  Zuhal Kuvan-Mills  CEO – EFWA and Designer of Green Embassy said.

 

 

EFWA will run from  20th - 27 November 2017. With Fashion Shows 23rd- 27th Nov  During the week  Free Community events of Work shops, Textile Art Exhibition,  Designer Exhibition,  ECO  Seminar- Disposable planet  ( Curtin University ) and Pop Up Shop from Australian Designers.
